Bambusa multiplex Goldstripe

If Gracilis is more than you need in height, your best choice for creating an upright, green screen to cover between 1.5 and 4 metres in height, is definitely Goldstripe. Like Gracilis its acceptance to trimming provides great height & shape flexibility. Goldstripe’s growth is very upright and its natural footprint of one metre, can easily be reduced by containing the plant. Once again its versatility allows for planting out in narrower beds, making it ideal for between driveways and fences. One of the fascinating characteristics of this plant allows it to grow  almost to its natural height, despite being contained in the smallest of spaces. As a ‘multiplex’, it produces lots of culms each season – great news if you need garden stakes!
