- Nepalese Blue is an ornamental weeping bamboo featuring soft blue/white/grey coloured culms. The species will naturally grow between 2-3mtrs in height and can be easily trimmed down.
- Displaying a weepy growth habit with delicate lush green foliage, Nepalese Blue is a Bamboo that requires a shady area or filtered light to thrive. The natural footprint size of the clump is 1mtr however this beautifully delicate appearing species can be planted into narrow garden beds or maintained smaller to suit your needs, down to a minimum of 50cm. It can be used as a delicate feature bamboo, or a light screening option in shady areas. This plant would also nicely adorn a patio or verandah, where shade is plentiful.
- As with all Clumping bamboo, Nepalese Blue grows in a circular formation, so plant them the same distance apart as the width you have available. Eg. if your planting trench is 75cm wide, you would plant them 75cm apart to form a dense screen. The narrower the space, the closer you plant. - Nepalese Blue is fairly quick growing and can be fully grown within 2-3 years, or quicker if you purchase more established sizes! Nepalese Blue is low maintenance & drought tolerant once established, but looks best with regular water to maintain a lush appearance.
